Local business owners are invited to sponsor a hole for $250 and put their name in front of community leaders, NFL alumni, and high-profile attendees.
IMMEDIATE RELEASE

HUNTSVILLE, Ala. — Bo Matthews, the 1974 NFL second-overall draft pick and chair of the Huntsvillebased
One House Project, will host the inaugural Huntsville Hope Classic on Monday, June 29, 2026, bringing a $10,000 first-place prize and more than $5,000 in additional on-course prizes to the Canebrake Club in Athens.
For Matthews, the tournament is more than a day on the course. The One House Project, the 501(c)(3) nonprofit he leads, is building the partnership infrastructure that moves North Alabama families from crisis to stability and toward homeownership. Every dollar raised supports crisis and affordable housing across Huntsville and surrounding areas.
Players will tee off with Matthews and NFL alumni from the Alabama and South Carolina chapters in a four-person scramble format with a 10:00 a.m. shotgun start.

Sponsor a hole for $250.
The Classic is actively recruiting Huntsville-area business owners to come out as $250 hole sponsors. For the cost of a branded sign at a single hole, area businesses get face-to-face exposure to a field of community leaders, NFL alumni, and high-profile attendees — and put their name behind a mission their neighbors care about.
Players, teams, and larger sponsorships are also welcome. The registration deadline is June 15, 2026.
Local business owners and community members are invited to contact Bo Matthews directly at bo@onehouseproject.com to claim a hole sponsorship or learn more about discounted ticket access.
