A 67-year-old Birmingham man is being held on bonds totaling more than $3.1 million following a drug raid conducted by the Leeds Police Department earlier this week.
Leeds Police Chief Paul Irwin announced Friday that Isaac Leroy Edge was arrested Jan. 20, 2026, after a lengthy narcotics investigation led by the department’s Special Investigations Unit.
Assisted by the Leeds Police SWAT team, investigators executed a search warrant at a residence in the 100 block of Second Avenue South in Birmingham. During the raid, officers seized a large quantity of drugs, firearms, and cash.
Authorities reported confiscating approximately 1.3 pounds of marijuana, 6.7 ounces of cocaine, 11 ounces of opioids, and 56 Alprazolam pills, along with six pistols, digital scales, several vehicles, and a significant amount of cash.
Chief Irwin said Edge was already out on bond at the time of his arrest, facing Jefferson County drug trafficking charges from 2025. He also noted that Edge has an extensive criminal history dating back to the 1980s.
Edge now faces multiple felony charges, including two counts of drug trafficking, three counts of unlawful distribution of a controlled substance, possession of a firearm by a prohibited person, first-degree unlawful possession of marijuana, and illegal possession of prescription medication.
His total bond has been set at just over $3 million.
“If your drug dealing touches our city in any way, we are coming for you,” Irwin said. “I am proud of our dedicated law enforcement officers who work each day intentionally to make a difference in our communities.”
Police said the investigation remains ongoing.
