Organized in February, 1904 by Reverend William (Will) Taylor, Taylor’s Chapel located at 3100 Stringfield Road, NW, Huntsville, Alabama, celebrated the 118th Church Anniversary on Sunday, February 20, 2022.

Since the church was founded in February, Black History Month, the church anniversary celebrations always have themes that honor the longevity of the church’s contributions to the Huntsville communities, the surrounding communities, the State of Alabama and the Nation. Former church shepherds, deceased congregants, descendants and  present day congregants are also honored.

Reverend William Taylor, Reverend  Oscar Hamlett, Reverend Arthur Tibbs, and Reverend James Lane, Sr. are shepherds who have led the congregation in years past and today finds the membership searching for a new shepherd who will continue to lead this historical black congregation and add many more chapters to the church history.

Church, Harvest, Alabama was the Guest Speaker.  Deacon Tony Yarbrough of Blackmon Chapel CPCA, Huntsville, Alabama was the Guest Deacon. Soloists were Sisters Cynthia Russell and Verneda White-Hughes and Brother James Kelly, Jr. of Taylor’s Chapel; Sister Sharon Bone Kelly of St. James P. B. Church, Huntsville, Alabama and Minister Mark Bone of Judah Temple of Praise, Nashville, Tennessee.
