This is what a life-saving, fast-acting, clear-thinking, well-prepared Girl Scout looks like! Zoe is a Huntsville Girl Scout from Troop 10729. While stopped at a gas station during a church trip, Zoe heard there was a man passed out in the parking lot. She hurried up to find people incorrectly administering CPR. With bold leadership, Zoe walked them through how to correctly administer CPR and the man was brought back to life before the ambulance came. Zoe learned CPR as part of her Girl Scouts First Aid badge and is also in the Medical Academy at Sparkman High School. She wants to be either an OBGYN or a pediatrician when she grows up.

When asked how she remained calm during this situation, Zoe said: “If I wasn’t prepared I would have been nervous. Girl Scouts in my experience is helping you to be out of the box, survival skills, putting you out there, and preparing you for situations of these types.”
