Progressive Union Missionary Baptist Church, in conjunction with the North Alabama Coalition for the Homeless, Hopewell Missionary Baptist Church, Heal for Real Ministries, Dependable Hands Ministry and other volunteers teamed up to provide meals, clothing and toiletry items for all who came by Brahan Spring Park Pavilion Five on Saturday, June 12, 2021, 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. The outreach is a yearly event that was not held in the usual way in 2020 due to the COVID pandemic. Those who served as volunteers not only served meals and provided clothing, they also were available to pray with those who requested prayer. For those who could not get to Brahan Spring, to go plates were prepared and delivered to a couple of the homeless camps in Huntsville. Thunder and lightning toward the end of event caused an early shutdown. A big thank you to all who donated their time and energy to make this event possible.
