Huntsville, AL – Everyone is aware of the history of American Slavery. We know why and how the slave trade from Af- rica happened and continued for so long. White American History talks about the Pilgrims who came to this country on the Mayflower and arrived in 1620. There is nothing mentioned in this narrative that a year earlier in 1619, 20 enslaved Africans were brought to the colonies against their will. This is just one example of white people “whitewashing” American History because they don’t want to feel badly about themselves. From 1619 and for hundreds of years afterwards, these slaves were at the mercy of their master, who had complete control over them. They dare not go against him or they would suffer severe consequences.

Fast forward to today. The GOP and their Master, Donald Trump, who loves chaos and obstruction, controls his slaves all over the United States, local and statewide. The ones who disagree with him, whispers behind his back but will never say any- thing in public because they don’t want the backlash of a mad man.

This Master and his slaves continue to lie to their voters, who think the lies don’t affect them because the slaves look like them. When some white people look in the mirror, they don’t see evil. When your state put their “Election Security’ policy in place you, white people, you might think it will not affect you. It won’t unless the policy is differ- ent for you and only applies to people of color. Just wait until your election officials require you to let them know how many bubbles are in a bar of soap, or ask you to look at a jar of jelly beans and give them the exact count. These were some of the tactics that were used to keep people of color from being registered voters. Don’t think it won’t happen. It already has. Voter Rights was gutted after the Supreme Court sided with Texas.

Unlike the American Slavery where these slaves had no choices, they continued to fight for their freedom. Master Trumps’ slaves are weak and spine less and choose to be this way. The overseers just continue to whisper behind his back and lie to keep their plantation in order.
