The moment that Barak Obama became the 44th President of the United States, the GOP vowed that he would be a one term President. That did not happen. When the Affordable Care Act was signed into law on March 23, 2010 the GOP vowed they would do everything possible to resend this law. This has been a campaign promise for years even to this day they have nothing to replace it. The GOP has been laser focused on this promise and they must deliver even if it means throwing a lot of their members under the bus. Yes, the very ones who rely on this Act to stay healthy. The “Richie Rich” members of the GOP do not care about the poor republicans. It is sad to say but even these poor republicans don’t care. If you are a republican and your annual income is, let’s say, $300 thousand dollars a year, you are “poor” compared to the “Richie Rich” members. For most republicans it’s about the party and not the country. Even though they are will not have health insurance, it is more important to satisfy those who do not need this type of insurance, the “Richie Rich.”
The Republican Party is using the Smoke and Mirrors tactics “something that is “designed to obscure, confuse or mislead…” All this is being done so that the average American will not pay much attention to what is really going on behind the scenes. Examples: COVID-19, saying the numbers are down but we all know that is not true and repeating the narrative to obscure the facts. If you had or have COVID and you have survived this will be a pre-existing illness. Sending out confusing guidance from the CDC, and most of all, giving misleading information about demonstrations that are happening over the country. All this is being done to distract from what is really happening. The “visual” media has a hand in all of this. Notice some of their lead stories. While there is evidence that White Supremacists or other Radical Groups have infiltrated these protests but the media will not point this out.
The Supreme Court replacement is the “Hail Mary” play for Mitch McConnell and the Republication Party. They failed with THE WALL that Mexico was to pay for. This is the final play! A week after the upcoming presidential election, the court for the third time, is scheduled to hear a challenge brought by Republicans to the Affordable Care Act. In 2012, the high court upheld the law in a 5-4 ruling, with Roberts casting the deciding vote and writing the opinion for the majority. But this time the outcome may well be different.
With the death of Justice Ginsburg, this gives Republicans the chance to tighten their grip on the court with another appointment by the person who currently resides in the people’s house, so conservatives would have 6-3 majority. This would mean that even a defection on the right would leave conservatives with enough votes to prevail in the Obamacare case and many others.
Although McConnell said that, “in an election year the voters should decide which presidential candidate should pick the next justice.” The tables have turned, and McConnell has made clear he will not follow the same course. Instead he will try immediately to push through a nominee so as to ensure a conservative justice to fill Ginsburg’s liberal shoes, even if person who currently resides in the people’s house, were to lose his reelection bid. When asked what he would do in circumstances such as these, McConnell said: “Oh, we’d fill it.”
History will prove that The Republican Party will be known as the “Party of Death” because of their revengeful nature and their disdain for the poor.
