The Progressive Union Youth Ministry, also known as ‘Intune’, celebrated their annual Youth Week, Monday, June 3 through Sunday, June 9, 2019. Theme for the week was “Magnify the Lord”, scripture reference Psalm 34:3. The week begun with a three-night Youth Spiritual Stimulation Service (Revival), Monday June 3 through Wednesday, June 5, 2019. Speaker for the revival was Rev. Dr. Matthew Wilson, pastor of the Providence Missionary Baptist Church, Marion, Alabama. Praise service was provided on Monday by Audrianna Davis-Jones, on Tuesday Alexis ‘AyyCee’ Crutcher, and Wednesday by the Progressive Union Youth/Young Adult Choir. Rev. Wilson sermon titles were: Monday, ‘Get Your Praise Out the Box’, Psalm 48:1; Tuesday, ‘Keep It 100 With Yourself’, Isaiah 6:5; and Wednesday, ‘Holler If You Hear Me “I Got the Hook Up”. John 15:4-7.
Youth Week concluded on Sunday, June 9, 2019. Speaker for the 8:00 and 11:00 a.m. services was Rev. Dr. Terrance D. Vickerstaff, Associate Minister at the First Missionary Baptist Church in Huntsville. Music was provided by the Progressive Union Youth/Young Adult, and the Progressive Union Primary Praise (P.U.P.P.) Choirs. Rev. Vickerstaff’s 8:00 a,m., sermon title was “When God Asks A Question”, Genesis 18:1-14, and 11:00 a.m., “References Available Upon Request”, Mark 8:27-29. Sister Wanda Rice is the Youth (InTune) Director, Rev. Joe Stevenson is the interim Pastor.
