The Alabama A&M University Bulldog intramural basketball team could not defend their 2018 title this season and lost a two-point heartbreaker to Middle Tennessee State University in the championship game, settling for Men’s Division Runner-Up in the MTSU Tip-Off Classic 2019.
“I am really proud of how Coach Knute Walker coached the team and even more proud of how they conducted themselves in Tennessee.”
Walker has done wonders to bring out the best among participants in the intramurals. In November 2018, for instance, he coached the flag football team that made AAMU the first HBCU to win the regionals at Western Kentucky University, where they handily defeated Mississippi State University in the semi-finals and later Austin Peay in the championship game.
