Following a series of town hall meetings since his appointment as the Madison County Commissioner for District 6, Commissioner JesHenry Malone has built the first new road within the district in the last 20 years.

Carlean Drive, located in the Oakwood Community of Madison County, is one of the few unincorporated roads within the District 6 boundary. Previously, Carlean Drive was unpaved, damaged from heavy rains, and filled with mud holes.

While Carlean Drive is one of few county roads in District 6, it is now newly built with fresh asphalt. A connector to Harris Road, Carlean Drive serves district residents between Oakwood and Rideout Roads.

“Although funding for unincorporated road improvements in the district has been a challenge, and continues to be an issue, I am committed to making it a priority as I assess other roads within District 6. Together, we can build a stronger community,” says Commissioner Malone.
